About WES

WES is a very unique fire point alert system developed by Ramtech. It has helped businesses to meet the stringent Health & Safety requirements of the industry, providing them with a temporary hassle free fire system for construction sites. Ramtech’s WES (Wireless Emergency System) provides a cost effective solution to the need for a robust, flexible Fire Alert system in the ever-changing environment of a Construction site.

With no need for cabling or wired power, the battery operated fire point system has a built in Siren and Strobe providing a localised warning. At the same time the activated unit sends out signals to other units in the pre-configured network or zone. These units will then activate.

How does WES work?

So far Ramtech has launched three WES models which are FP1, FP2 and the ST1.

  • WES FP1 is more suitable for external application because of its 122db siren, strobe light and a weatherproof design but it can also be used internally. These units are perfect to work under most difficult of conditions on a site unlike our competitors they work on a class 1 radio link and have been tested rigorously for various work and weather conditions. Each FP units are configured by an installer using a PC application and a USB cable. However due to security reason some sites might not able to do that therefore we at Ramtech can configure these units for you to use on a particular network or a zone. After the units have been configured they then are ready to relay signals to a neighbouring FP unit whilst covering the whole site in case of an emergency. All you have to do is lift the flap and press the button indicated and to reset it just repeat the same process but hold the button pressed for approximately 5 seconds.
  • WES FP2 is recommended for internal use as it has an 80db siren. It involves the same process of installation.
  • WES ST1 is the silent tester unit and it allows the radio link to be tested across the site without setting off the sirens or site evacuation. Instead it turns on the LED testing light to indicate the functionality of the units.
